What are lab-grown diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They aren't mined from the earth, but grown in a laboratory using advanced techniques that perfectly mimic the natural process underground. Carbon atoms crystallize layer by layer into a diamond, with the same properties and brilliance as a mined diamond.

Our diamonds are produced using the CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) method . This is the most innovative and controlled method of diamond growth, producing diamonds of exceptional clarity and purity.

Our quality standards

Not every lab-grown diamond makes it into our collection. At Vondel Diamonds, we select only stones that meet the highest quality criteria:

• Brightness: VVS–VS
• Color: D–F (colorless to almost colorless)
• Cut quality: Triple Excellent (perfect proportions for maximum brilliance)

All diamonds over 1.00 ct come with an independent IGI certificate . For smaller stones, you'll receive an official IGI jewelry certificate detailing the specifications of the diamond(s) and the precious metal.
