My name is Joanne Schilder , founder of Vondel Diamonds. After my engagement, I began exploring diamonds and engagement rings. Not just in terms of shape and style, but especially in terms of origin, price, and quality. In that search, I discovered lab-grown diamonds : real diamonds grown in a laboratory.

What struck me was how little these diamonds were visible in the Netherlands, while they're much more common internationally. I wondered why. Why do you hear so little about lab-grown diamonds here? And why does the diamond industry cling so strongly to tradition?

These questions formed the beginning of Vondel Diamonds.

At Vondel Diamonds, we believe that luxury isn't about exclusivity per se, but about quality, transparency, and trust . We work exclusively with lab-grown diamonds , which are chemically, physically, and optically identical to naturally mined diamonds and are assessed according to the same international standards.

Our diamonds are set in solid 18-karat gold or platinum and come with IGI certification . So you know exactly what you're wearing—and where it came from.

In our Amsterdam boutique, personal guidance is paramount. Customers can customize their ring, from cut and carat to setting and gold color. All common cuts are possible.

In addition to our collection, we also offer fully custom-made pieces , at the same price as our standard designs. We believe that a personalized ring doesn't have to be a luxury extra; it should be a given.

What sets us apart isn't just what we offer, but also how we operate. We completely eliminate the middleman and work directly with the most renowned diamond laboratories worldwide. We even hold exclusive rights in the Benelux for some of these laboratories, allowing us to offer diamonds you won't find elsewhere.

This direct approach allows us to deliver exceptional quality at a fair price – up to 90% cheaper than mined diamonds, with no hidden margins and no compromises.

Unparalleled quality

Our diamonds are real diamonds , created in a laboratory process that perfectly mimics their natural origin deep within the earth. We use only diamonds that meet the strictest quality standards:

  • Color: D–F
  • Cut: Triple Excellent

Each diamond is meticulously set in 18k gold or platinum and comes with full IGI (Indicative Identification) certification.

Customization

In addition to our regular collections, we also create fully custom jewelry. We'll discuss your wishes with you, after which we'll create a digital 3D design . After your approval, the jewelry is handcrafted into a unique piece that perfectly tells your story.
