General Terms and Conditions – Vondel Diamonds

Effective date: August 1, 2025

Welcome to Vondel Diamonds. We craft and supply luxury jewelry in 18-karat gold and platinum, set exclusively with the finest quality lab-grown CVD diamonds , selected for clarity (VVS–VS), color (D–F), and triple excellent cut.

By using our website, placing an order or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Article 1 – Definitions

  1. Entrepreneur: Vondel Diamonds, established in Amsterdam.

  2. Consumer: the natural person who does not act in the exercise of a profession or business and who enters into an agreement with Vondel Diamonds.

  3. Customer: both the consumer and the business customer.

  4. Products: Luxury jewelry made of 18-carat gold and platinum, featuring high-quality lab-grown diamonds.

  5. Agreement: any purchase agreement concluded through the website or directly with Vondel Diamonds.

Article 2 – Applicability

  1. These terms and conditions apply to every offer from Vondel Diamonds and to every agreement between Vondel Diamonds and the customer.

  2. Deviations or additions are only valid if agreed in writing.

Article 3 – Offer and quality

  1. Vondel Diamonds guarantees that all diamonds are laboratory-grown using the CVD technique and are of the highest quality (VVS–VS, colour D–F, triple excellent cut).

  2. All jewelry is crafted in 18 carat gold or platinum and meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.

  3. Certification: All diamonds and jewelry come with a certificate from the International Gemological Institute (IGI) . For diamonds weighing 1.00 carat or larger, an individual diamond certificate is provided. For diamonds under 1.00 carat, the customer will receive a jewelry certificate from IGI , which verifies the diamonds and materials used.

  4. Images and specifications on the website are as accurate as possible, but may vary in color reproduction or scale.

Article 4 – Conclusion of the agreement

  1. The agreement is concluded as soon as the customer places an order and Vondel Diamonds confirms this in writing.

  2. For custom-made and personalized products, the agreement is binding once the order has been confirmed and payment has been received.

Article 5 – Delivery and delivery times

  1. Stock products are delivered within 1–3 business days after receipt of payment.

  2. Custom-made jewelry has a delivery time of approximately 3 weeks , unless otherwise agreed.

  3. Deliveries will be made to the address specified by the customer. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon physical delivery.

Article 6 – Prices and payments

  1. All prices are stated in euros, including VAT and excluding any shipping costs, unless otherwise stated.

  2. Payment must be made in advance using the payment methods offered in the webshop.

  3. Any import duties or taxes for deliveries outside the EU are the responsibility of the customer.

Article 7 – Returns and right of withdrawal

  1. Stock products can be returned within 30 days of receipt without giving any reason.

  2. During the cooling-off period, the customer must handle the product and packaging with care.

  3. Returns must be returned complete, unused and in original packaging.

  4. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise agreed.

Article 7a – Custom-made and personalized jewelry

  1. Vondel Diamonds offers clients the option of commissioning custom-made jewelry . The client's wishes are discussed, after which a digital 3D design is created.

  2. If the customer approves the 3D design, Vondel Diamonds will prepare a final quote . Production of the jewelry will begin only after written confirmation and receipt of the down payment.

  3. Right of withdrawal: custom-made and personalized jewelry are excluded from the right of withdrawal and cannot, in principle, be returned or exchanged .

  4. Adjustments such as enlarging or reducing a ring are possible in most cases and are carried out free of charge or for a reasonable fee in consultation.

  5. Deviating agreements regarding custom work can only be confirmed in writing.

Article 8 – Warranty and conformity

  1. Vondel Diamonds guarantees that its products comply with the agreement, the stated specifications and the quality characteristics as described in Article 3.

  2. Legal warranty applies. A product must do what a consumer can reasonably expect.

  3. The included IGI certificates serve as proof of the authenticity and quality characteristics of the materials and diamonds used.

  4. The warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear, misuse, or third-party repairs.

Article 9 – Liability

  1. Vondel Diamonds is solely liable for direct damages resulting from an attributable failure to comply with the agreement.

  2. Any liability for indirect damage, including consequential damage, lost profits or lost savings, is excluded.

  3. Liability is at all times limited to the invoice amount of the order in question.

Article 10 – Use of the website

  1. It is not permitted to use the website for illegal purposes or activities that violate the rights of Vondel Diamonds or third parties.

  2. All intellectual property rights relating to texts, designs, photographs, and logos belong to Vondel Diamonds or its licensors.

Article 11 – Complaints procedure

  1. Complaints about the performance of the agreement must be submitted within a reasonable time and fully described via info@vondel.com .

  2. Vondel Diamonds aims to respond to complaints within 14 days of receipt.

Article 12 – Force Majeure

  1. Vondel Diamonds is not obliged to fulfil any obligation if it is prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond its control.

  2. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, supplier disruptions, transport restrictions, and government measures.

Article 13 – Applicable law

  1. All agreements with Vondel Diamonds are exclusively governed by Dutch law .

  2. Disputes will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless mandatory law prescribes otherwise.
